Samsung has long been a dominant player in the smartwatch industry. With consistent innovations — both minor and significant — the company continues to hold its position as a leader in the wearable tech segment. Now, Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra, designed to challenge Apple’s dominance in the premium smartwatch market.

In this review, we’ll dive deep into the design, features, hardware, and battery performance of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Read on to find out if this device is worth your investment.

Premium Design: Does It Meet Expectations?

The Galaxy Watch Ultra boasts a circular design with a 1.5-inch AMOLED display that’s sharp and responsive. The watch case is crafted from Grade 4 titanium with sapphire crystal protection, offering not only scratch resistance but also a premium feel.

However, its large size and total weight of around 90 grams might not suit everyone, particularly during activities like sleeping or working on a laptop. If comfort is a priority, it’s recommended to try the watch on at a store before purchasing.

Interestingly, while the bezel is fixed and no longer rotatable, the watch is water-resistant up to 10 ATM and has an IP68 certification. This makes it suitable for a variety of activities, including diving.

Performance and Advanced Sensors

Beneath its rugged exterior, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is powered by the Exynos W1000 chipset, built on advanced 3nm technology. With 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the watch delivers fast performance and ample space for storing music and apps.

A range of sensors, including Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis, Infrared Temperature Sensor, and dual-frequency GPS (L1+LG), makes this smartwatch ideal for fitness enthusiasts and health tracking.

Fitness and Health Tracking Features

The Galaxy Watch Ultra can automatically detect a variety of exercises, such as running, treadmill sessions, and cycling. The heart rate zone (HR zone) feature displayed on the screen is particularly useful for monitoring workout intensity.

Sleep tracking is available, though wearing the watch overnight can be uncomfortable due to its size. Additionally, features like ECG, body composition analysis (BCA), and blood pressure monitoring are included, although some functions are exclusive to Samsung smartphone users.

Other features, such as Samsung Pay and hand gestures for controlling calls or music, add extra convenience to everyday life.

Battery Life: Enough for Daily Activities

The Galaxy Watch Ultra offers impressive battery life. Under normal usage, the watch can last up to two full days with the Always-On Display (AOD) enabled. When AOD is turned off and Power Saving Mode is activated, the battery life can extend to three days.

However, the charging process is relatively slow, taking nearly two hours to reach 100%. This might feel sluggish compared to its competitors.

Is the Galaxy Watch Ultra Worth Buying?

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is a solid choice for Android users seeking a premium smartwatch. With its comprehensive features, reliable battery life, and premium design, it competes directly with the Apple Watch Ultra.

That said, its large size and high price point might give some buyers pause. If these factors aren’t deal-breakers, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is a worthy investment to complement your active lifestyle.

Conclusion
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra delivers a blend of luxurious design, advanced features, and excellent durability. This SEO-optimized review provides a detailed guide for potential buyers looking to explore the device’s capabilities. Are you ready to make the switch to Samsung’s ultimate smartwatch?
